He paid the price we should have paid
He walked the way we should have walked
A way bitterest agony,
He wore the crown we should have worn
of such mockery he was not worthy.
He bore our death upon the cross
On calvary's bitter and cruel tree.
Oh wondrous love, for us he died
A bitter lonely death
Oh wondrous love, he gave his life `
For sinners, remorseless yet

Now it’s about time that we ask ourselves
His kind of love, do we really deserve?
Let’s give thanks to him who died on the cross
Who sacrificed himself to save the lost.
And through the frailties of our flesh
He has borne with us patiently.
for all our sins, he did atone
